How to Program a Remote Starter for My New Toyota Vehicle?

  1. Sit in your new Toyota with all doors closed.
  2. Turn the ignition key to the “On” position, then immediately turn it back to the “Off” position without starting the engine. Repeat this step within the next 5 seconds and remove your key from the ignition.
  3. You now have 40 seconds to close and open the driver’s side door twice in a row.
  4. Finally, insert and remove the key from the ignition one last time. This should trigger the remote programming mode. If it doesn’t happen, contact one of our service experts who can assist you effortlessly.

HOW TO OPEN MY TOYOTA KEY TO CHANGE ITS BATTERY?

On newer Toyota models, you can open a Toyota key fob by pressing the button located at the bottom of it, allowing you to remove a hidden metal key. You’ll then uncover a slot specially designed to open the casing.

Insert the metal key and turn it clockwise until it opens.

Note that on older Toyota key fobs, you’ll need to find a household object such as a flat-blade screwdriver to insert into the notch located at the bottom of your key fob.
